The 2024 Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Ballots will be mailed out to eligible voters starting on June 4, according to the voter's party affiliation. Voters must be of legal voting age, citizens of the United States, and reside in the precinct in which they are registered.
The affiliation deadline for political parties was January 9, 2024. Several parties, like the Democratic, Independent American, No Labels, and United Utah parties have open primaries, allowing members of other parties to participate. The Constitution, Libertarian, and Republican parties have closed primaries, restricting voting to registered party members. Additionally, unaffiliated voters may affiliate through Election Day, allowing them to participate in the primary election. Voters can verify their party affiliation, registration status, and view a sample ballot online at www.vote.utah.gov and at weberelections.gov.
Voter registrations must be received by the county clerk before 5:00 pm June 14, 2024. However, voters may register to vote at an early voting location or at a polling location on Election Day.
In-person voting will be held at the Weber Center (2380 Washington Blvd) June 18, 19, 20 and 21 from Noon to 6:00 pm and on June 25, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Ballot Drop Boxes are conveniently located at every city office located in Weber County, every county library, the Weber Center parking lot, and on campus at Weber State University. Drop boxes are open 24 hours a day and close promptly at 8:00 pm on Election Day.
A public demonstration will be held on May 28 at 11:00 am to test the voting system that will be used for the Primary Election. A post-election audit of the Presidential Primary Election will be held on July 2 at 12:15 pm. Both of these events will be held in the Elections Office in the basement of the Weber Center, 2380 Washington Boulevard.
