EAGLE MOUNTAIN SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING May 7, 2024 10 AM Eagle Mountain Senior Center 1632 East Heritage Drive, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005 1. Called to order 2. Approval of Minutes 3. Attendance 4. May activities a. Senior Council Meeting May 7th 10 AM b. Lunches served May 1,8,9,15,16,22,23,29,30 12 Noon c. Lunch bunch at Senior Center Ribbon cutting ceremony for Horseshoe pit, Tyson Foods to BBQ for May 2 i. City employees that built pit invited plus City Council Members d. June 10 at 11 am Meeting with caterer for BBQ bring lunch for 10 people e. Bingo May 13 at 5 PM Sandy is in charge of refreshments f. May 18 10 AM planting flowers at Cemetery Chick fil a to serve breakfast g. Activity May 20 Matt Heffelfinger to do presentation on Dinosaurs h. Exercise class at 11:15 Thursdays 8,16,23,30 i. Craft class May 15th 10 AM j. Wednesdays Puzzles, quilts, and Paint class k. Thursdays, Sewing, Puzzles, Quilts, and painting without instructor l. No activity on May 27 due to holiday m. Booth at Pony Express days set up May 30 at 2PM booth opens at 4 PM, open till 8 PM. May 31 booth opens at set up 11:30 Booth opens at 12 Noon till 8 PM Tear Down. n. Need to schedule time to make treats at senior center to be sold in booth o. We will need to do a schedule of who will man booth and times. 5. June activities a. Pony Express Days Parade we will meet at senior center to ride bus at 8:30 am b. Council Mtg. June 4 c. Lunch bunch June 6 d. Rodeo June 7 5 PM e. Lunches 5,12,13,19,20,26,27 f. As usual Painting, quilts, puzzles every Wednesday and Thursday no art instructor on Thursdays. g. Exsercise class on every Thursday 11:15 Except 1st Thursday of every month h. Bingo June 17th Joan in charge of refreshments finger foods birth day cake i. Christmas in June BBQ 5 PM June 24 working on scheduling person to do bbq 6. Up coming events a. Garden Boxes have been added, Jack Roberts will be in charge with help from other seniors i. Jack will need to talk to everyone to see what we should plant ii. We need to have the gentleman that talked about the History of Cedar Valley back for Part 2. iii. Trip to tour Tyson plant iv. The second Tuesday of every from 2 to 4 PM at chamber of Commerce Office in the Ranches across from the Maverick station. 1st class May 14th this class will cover security and passwords. Next council Meeting will be June 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM
