NOTICE OF PETITION FOR ANNEXATION AND REQUEST FOR REZONE
(Layton City East Gate Annexation and Rezone)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 21, 2024, the Layton City Council received notice of Certification of a Petition to Annex parcels 09-012-0032 and 09-012-0031 owned by Layton City totaling approximately 24.3 acres, located at approximately 3925 North Fairfield Road and 3945 North Fairfield Road.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Layton City Center, 437 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah, to review the rezone request of parcels 09-012-0032 and 09-012-0031 from A (Agriculture) to M-1 (Light Industrial/Manufacturing).
On Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the City Council will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers to review the annexation and rezone request of the above described properties.
The area proposed for annexation will automatically be annexed into the Layton City law enforcement, fire protection, paramedic, and emergency services districts, as provided by State Code.
The annexation petition is available for review and copying at the Layton Community and Economic Development Office, 437 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah. Layton City may grant the petition to annex the subject property unless written protests are filed. Any written protest to this annexation petition shall be filed with the Davis County Boundary Commission, 28 East State Street, Room 221, (P.O. Box 618), Farmington, Utah, 84025. A copy thereof shall also be delivered to the Layton City Recorder, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah, 84041. The deadline for filing protest regarding this annexation petition is 5:00 p.m., June 11, 2024.
A protest may filed by the legislative body or governing body of an affected entity.
