Fayette Town 90 South 100 East HC 13 Box 300564 Fayette Utah 84630 Phone 435-528-5882 E-mail: fayette5882@gmail.com FAYETTE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CHRISTMAS DINNER THURSDAY December 7, 2023 LOCATED AT FAYETTE TOWN HALL AT 5:15PM FACILITATED BY MAYOR JED BARTHOLOMEW CALL TO ORDER: 5:18PM ROLL CALL: Jed Bartholomew, Mayor, John Bown, Kelly Sue Mellor, Melissa Mellor, Bryan Lyman (on the phone) PRAYER: Jed Bartholomew 1) REVIEW MINUTES: John made the motion to accept the Minutes. Kelly Sue seconded the motion. The Minutes were accepted. 2) REVIEW EXPENDITURES: John made the motion to accept the Expenditures. Melissa seconded the motion. The Expenditures were accepted 3) PRINTER FOR OFFICE: The Printer has been a BIG problem this past week. We called the Les Olsen Co. and they came and looked at it, but didn't fix the main problem of not copying more than 10 pages at a time. We will call on Tuesday to have them come again. We will get it fixed!! 4) BRAD MELLOR FOR WATER ASSISTANT: We will reschedule this for next month. CITIZEN'S CONCERNS TOWN COUNCIL ITEMS: We got the gaskets for the Chlorinator and got the door fixed: the door was quite costly. The citizen's have really enjoyed our new decorations on Main Street!! This year for the first time we have decorations on the poles down Main Street. It took 2 years of talking with Rocky Mountain to finally get them up, but we can't afford to put plugs on the poles yet. Hopefully that will come in the future! JED BARTHOLOMEW, MAYOR: Water, Weeds, Office, Cemetery Jed wanted to Thank John and Kelly Sue for all they have done for the Town and the Council! They have done a great job and we are going to miss them. Jed kept track of his hours and mileage this past month; 82 hours and over 500 miles. This is like a part time job. BRYAN LYMAN: Flags, P&Z, Park and Bryan also wanted to thank Kelly Sue and John for all of their work and advice and help!! Great Job!! JOHN BOWN: Animal Control, Fire Meeting's, Cemetery John mentioned we need to let the younger generation that they need to step up to help the Town in the future. KELLY SUE MELLOR: Celebrations, Grants MELISSA MELLOR: Website, Newsletter, Emergency Preparedness We all agreed with Jed and Bryan that john and Kelly Sue did a great job and we will miss them! We will have 2 new Council members next month: Keith Bartholomew and Rusty Jones. ADJOURNMENT OF TOWN MEETING: Melissa made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Bryan seconded the motion. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 5:37pm The Dinner was catered this year by the Gonzalezz family. It turned out very good and we all enjoyed it very much! We had a good turnout, too.
