HINCKLEY TOWN NOTICE OF COUNCIL SEAT VACANCY PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Hinckley Town, in compliance with Utah Code 20A-1-510 provides notice of a vacancy on the Town Council. The Town has received notice that Town Council Member LeeAnn Terry is resigning from the Town Council, effective May 31, 2024. The Town Council will hold a public meeting to fill the vacancy on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7 p.m. Those interested in being considered to fill the council seat vacancy from June 6, 2024, through December 31, 2025, shall have until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, to submit their name for consideration along with any accompanying portfolio if they so desire to Hinckley Town Clerk Tresa Taylor. Qualified individuals must be registered to vote in Hinckley Town and meet the qualifications for office as described in U.C.A. 10-3-301. Qualified applicants will be provided an opportunity to briefly address the Town Council members and may be asked to answer some questions posed to them at the Town Council meeting held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at 161 E 300 N, Hinckley. After the Town Council's consideration, the successful candidate shall be selected and then sworn into office at the next Town Council meeting scheduled on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
