The Mayor and City Council of Helper City,
A Municipal Corporation will hold a regular meeting
on the 2nd day of May 2024.
At the Council Chambers
19 South Main, Helper, Utah.
The meeting shall begin at 6:00 pm.
1- Call to order.
2- Pledge of Allegiance.
3- Roll call.
4- Public Comment.
5- Approval of the minutes from April 4, 2024, and February 28, 2024 Special Meeting.
6- Discussion and possible approval of accepting assistance services from Intermountain Insurance Services. - Tyler Kelsey
7- Discussion and possible approval of trade agreement with AJB Broadcasting for pool passes.
8- Discussion and possible approval of street closure on June 8, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm from the Post Office to City Hall.
9- Discussion and possible approval of Street closure beginning Thursday, August 15, 2024, at noon to Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 3 pm.
10- Discussion and possible approval of local consent for the Helper Arts Festival in August.
11- Discussion and possible approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Utah Cyber Center and Helper City for a cyber security program.
12- Discussion and possible approval of a partnership agreement with Helper Saturday Vibes.
13- Discussion of amendments to the current Verizon Wireless Agreement.
14- Discussion and possible approval of an agreement with UDOT for Utility License Easements.
15- Discussion and possible approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Carbon County and Helper City for fire/emergency services.
16- Discussion and possible approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Utah County and Helper City for fire/emergency services.
17- Discussion and possible approval Resolution 2024-05, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Helper, Carbon County, Utah, authorizing the processes and procedures necessary and helpful to prepare for voter approval to reauthorize the RAP Tax for Helper City; and related matters.
18- Discussion and possible approval of the tentative budget for 2024-2025.
