CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION I, Lisa E. Brough, the duly appointed and acting Recorder of Nephi City in Juab County, State of Utah, do hereby certify that a Petition of Annexation and Map was filed with the City on April 9, 2024, which petition covers 4.33 acres consisting of property owned by Russell Smith located at approximately 1150 North 500 West, Juab County, Parcel No. XB00-2075-122R. The Petition, Painter Smith Annexation, was accepted by the Nephi City Council on April 16, 2024, for further consideration pursuant to §10-2-405 Utah Code Annotated. I hereby certify the Petition and state the referenced Petition for Annexation has been determined to meet the requirements of Utah Code Annotated §10-2-405. Nephi City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless, within the time required a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Juab County Clerk at 160 N. Main, Nephi UT 84648 and on the same date a copy of the protest shall be mailed or delivered to the office of the Nephi City Recorder at 21 E 100 N., Nephi, UT 84648. Written protests must be received before May 29, 2024, to be considered. Any protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or governing board of an affected entity, or the owner of rural real property as defined in the Utah Code 17B-2a-1107 A complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of Nephi City, 21 E. 100 N. Nephi, UT 84648. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my official signature and affixed the seal of Nephi City this 29th day of April 2024.
