NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Eagle Mountain City Council will hold public hearings on May 07, 2024, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as business allows, in the Eagle Mountain City Council Chambers, 1650 E Stagecoach Run, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005. The City Council will receive public comments concerning the following items:
- Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Amendment:
o EMMC 15 Construction Standards: A proposal to enact an ordinance that sets maximum spacing distances for sewer manholes and fire hydrants, removes concrete pipe as an option for sewer lines, and requires drywell lift station systems. o EMMC 17.80 Sign Regulations and Sign Permits: A proposal to enact an ordinance amending Title 17, Chapter 80 Sections 060.D., 070.D-H, and 130 by adding both an allowance for schools to have electronic reader board (i.e., message center) signs, and associated regulations; also, allowing and regulating electronic reader board signs for City approved athletic facilities, and, amending Section 17.80.160 to add definitions pertaining to electronic signage. o EMMC 2.2 Compensation Schedule of Statutory Officers: In the 2024 legislative session, the Utah legislature enacted Senate Bill 91. One of the changes resulting from this new law is that cities are now required to fix the compensation schedule of statutory officers in the municipal code. To comply with this new statutory requirement, staff is presenting this new chapter of the Eagle Mountain Municipal Code to establish the salary ranges for the affected positions. - Oquirrh Mountain Ranch New Meetinghouse Site Plan/Preliminary Plat: Oquirrh Ranch subdivision is getting a new LDS meetinghouse on the other side of Pony Express Pkwy, its address being 7000 N Pony Express Parkway. Approval is requested for the site plan and preliminary plat. (Parcels: 58:048:0077, 58:048:0078). Eagle Mountain Point of Contact: Caden Lyon, CLyon@emcity.org
- Clearview Estates LDS Seminary Rezone: Rezone of 0.62 acres from Tier 1 Residential to R1 for the purpose of locating an LDS Seminary building on Lot 2 of Eagle Mountain Middle School subdivision.( 1215 E. Harmony Way/38:716:0002). Eagle Mountain Point of Contact: David Stroud, DStroud@emcity.org
