SOUTH DAVIS WATER DISTRICT BOARD MEETING
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17TH, 2024
4:30 P.M.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the South Davis Water District will hold its regular Board Meeting at the District Office located at 407 W. 3100 S., Bountiful, Utah, at the time given above. The Public is invited to attend this meeting.

This meeting may be held as an electronic meeting with one or more Trustees participating via speaker telephone. The anchor location will be the regular meeting place of the Board of Trustees of the South Davis Water District located at 407 West 3100 South, Bountiful, Utah.
If you are not on the agenda, the Board of Trustees will not be able to discuss your item of business until another meeting. For most items it is desirable for the Board of Trustees to be informed of background information prior to consideration at a Board Meeting. AGENDA
1) Call To Order - Welcome to all those present
2) Public comment period.
3) Consider a motion to approve the minutes of the previous Board meeting that was held on March 13th.
4) Consider a motion to approve the March 2024 expenses as presented on the expense report.
5) Manager's Report
a. Report on construction and maintenance projects.
i. CDBG grant update (3000 S. 500 W. project).
ii. 2900 S. project
iii. Breakdown of District expenses associated with secondary metering, and progress of state reimbursement thus far.
b. Secondary metering discussion.
i. We still have the possibility of being exempted through a groundwater management plan in the future.
ii. Another option is the District simply sells to WB the percent of water from our contract that is being saved through metering to either the Great Salt Lake or WB. Or alternatively, we could try and get Sen. Hinkins or Rep. Ward to pass a bill allowing for this sort of transaction to fulfill the metering requirements.
iii. Perhaps we can solidify an agreement with the State that we will install meters as we replace secondary mains as part of culinary projects.
a. Update on PFAS.
b. Update on secondary system charge-up.
c. Update on District progress with the new EPA lead & copper rule.
d. Current snowpack and teacup numbers for the Weber Basin drainage.
6) Other Items
a. Any other items that the Board would like to discuss.
7) Closed Session:
a) Motion to adjourn to closed session, if necessary, for reasons permitted under UCA 52-4-205.
