Date of Meeting: Tuesday 4/9/24 Venue: OSTA - Conference Room Time: 5:30pm to 6:30pm (may run a little longer) Call to Order/Open Meeting: Approval of minutes: February 13, 2024 minutes Citizens to be heard: OSTA Assistant Director Report (Greg): Sports Complex buildings have been completely un-winterized Irrigation water has been turned on Spring fertilizer has been applied Grass has been seeded with a mixture of our sports turf and escalante fescue Finished refurbishing both loading ramps The ballfield ring main has been moved up in preps for the pickleball courts Softball field #1 has been cut back and field conditioner has been installed OSTA Director Report (Angie): Administration Assistant is working remotely 50% and 50% on FMLA Second phase of the sound system has been installed Portable Bleachers have arrived New JBL Ultimate party boxes have arrived (2) Resolution with USU was approved Update on Grand County Fair Board status from the Grand County Commission - OSTA Advisory Committee will act as a temporary Fair Board Update on the Grand County Special Event Ordinance regarding OSTA Events: March- Local open ride, Community Night (Tuesday) D's Adventures (every Saturday), Grand County Drill Team practice (Every Friday), Indoor Soccer, PRCA Queen practice, 4-H Horsemanship program, PRCA meeting, PRCA Drill Team Practice (Every Wednesday & Sunday), PRCA Queen Contest, Soccer Practice (Mondays & Wednesdays), Softball Practice (Daily), Skate Moab (Multiple dates), Team Rubicon, Jeep Safari, EVOKE Life. April- HMK Farm Field Day's, D's Adventures (multiple dates), Grand County Drill Team practice (Every Friday), 4-H Horsemanship program, PRCA meeting, PRCA Drill Team Practice (Every Wednesday & Sunday), Soccer Practice (Mondays & Wednesdays), Softball Practice (Daily), Skate Moab (Multiple dates), Moab Consignment Auction, Rigging for Rescue, GCSD Spring Fling, Cruise Moab, Red Rock'n Blue Rodeo Club Jr. Rodeo, Soccer Games, Softball Tournament. Not to be forgotten, will discuss when updates are available: World Trail (need design+ sponsors / donation) Trail to be formalized by arena staff by adding reject gravel +Horse Obstacle Course Outdoor Arena - Maintenance and construction upgrade stage 1 of 3 (1 arena, 2 roping boxes & steer run, 3 Cover over arena, lights, bleachers, announcer's booth, wind breaks, and bucking chutes) Working on roping boxes now. Implement Shed- Convention/Expo Hall- OSTA Development Master Plan- OSTA Emergency Operating Plan (EOP)- Draft in progress Board Member Reports: Kathy- Rex- Patrick- Bob- Krista- Jennifer- Mike- New Business: By-Laws (If available, Comm Admin are working on these) Review EOP & EAP Drafts. (can be postponed if running short on time) Review of the 2024 Grand County Fair Schedule Review of current ICA's in place for the 2024 Grand County Fair Review of current financials for the 2024 Grand County Fair Review and vote on Light and Sound Engineer for the 2024 Grand County Fair for the 4/16/24 Grand County Commission agenda approval Discussion on remaining of Grand County Fair budget and the direction of the funds.
