Housed in the Department of Economic Development, the Business Advisory Board seeks to encourage economic development and target industry relocation within City boundaries. The board also helps direct City economic policy, promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community.
Business Advisory Board meetings are held in a hybrid meeting format. Board Members and staff may participate through an online format, and members of the public may join in person at the City & County Building: 451 South State Street, Room 118, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

Roberta Reichgelt will provide updates on the work of the Department of Economic Development to the Board.

a. Arts Council 15 minutes
Felicia Baca, Director Salt Lake City Arts Council, will present the Arts Council, their work, and programs to the board.
b. Housing Stability Neighborhood Business Improvement Program (NBIP) 15 minutes
Taylee Foulger, Community Development Grant Specialist, will present Housing Stability's Neighborhood Business Improvement Program (NBIP) to the Board.
c. Mobile Business Text Amendment (PLNPCM2023-00938) 15 minutes
Seth Rios, Associate Planner, will present the proposed Mobile Business Text Amendment to the Board and request feedback from the Board.
5. City Council Announcements 10 minutes
a. Strengthening enforcement on unlawful construction and demolition
b. Japantown visioning process: project background, accomplishments, and status.
c. New affordable housing support.
d. Development along the 300 West Corridor and Central Pointe Station Area Plan
e. Rezone properties in the Ballpark neighborhood.
f. Transfer of Development Rights pilot program in the Sugar House Business District
