REPORT FOR THE BOARD OF CANVASSERS FOR THE MARCH 5, 2024 DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION Daggett County continues to be a Vote By Mail County. There were 45 Ballots sent to registered Democratic Voters. No Ballots were requested by members of any other party. One voter contacted us to notify us that they were no longer living in Utah and their ballot was not voted. Voters had the option of mailing their ballots in, voting early in person, dropping ballots into a drop box or voting in person during Early Voting or on Election Day. We had 21 people vote in this primary for a 47.7% Voter Turnout. All ballots received were able to be counted. We received 9 ballots and 9 were dropped off in Ballot Boxes. There were no (0) voters that took advantage of Early Voting between February 26th and March 1st, while three (3) people voted In Person on Election Day. No ballots were received after the Postmark deadline and no ballots were returned undeliverable. We did not receive any provisional ballots for this election. Early Voting in Manila took place on February 26 and 28 and March 1st, 2024 from 9 am to 5 pm in the Clerk's Office. Early Voting in Dutch John was held on February 29, 2024 from 3 pm to 7 pm. There were 2 ballots received with signatures that did not match what we had on record. Both were contacted promptly and after providing security information and verification that they voted the ballot in question there ballots were counted. We did not receive any ballots without signatures. We did not receive any UOCAVA ballots for this election. The Election was audited on Monday, March 18, 2024. No Public attended, Commissioner Randy Asay did attend and observe the proceedings. All 21 paper ballots matched the electronic ballot and the Cast Vote Record, except the In person ballots which had no distinguishable marks to compare the actual ballot with the electronic version, but the votes were consistent with the Cast Vote Record. Release dates for ballots counted results uploaded to the Lt. Governor's Office were: March 5, 2024, and March 19, 2024.
