EAGLE MOUNTAIN CITY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS The Eagle Mountain City Council will hold public hearings on April 2, 2024, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as business allows, in the Eagle Mountain City Council Chambers, 1650 E Stagecoach Run, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005. The City Council will receive public comments concerning the following items: - Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Amendments: o EMMC 17.80.060 D General Provisions and 17.80.070 D-H Permitted Signs: A proposal to enact an ordinance amending Title 17, Chapter 80, Sections 060.D. and 070.D-H by adding an allowance for schools to have electronic readerboard (i.e., message center) signs, and associated regulations; also, allowing and regulating electronic readerboard signs for City approved athletic facilities, and, amending Section 17.80.160 and 17.10.030 to add definitions pertaining to electronic signage. Eagle Mountain Point of Contact: Robert Hobbs: rhobbs@emcity.org o EMMC 17.60.120.A General Fencing : A proposal to enact an ordinance amending Title 17, Chapter 60, Section 120.A by adding a sentence to clarify the way fence and wall heights are measured. Eagle Mountain Point of Contact: Robert Hobbs: rhobbs@emcity.org o EMMC 17.10.030 Definitions, EMMC 17.40.040 Industrial Zone Conditional Uses, EMMC 17.53.040 Sweetwater Industrial Overlay Zone Land Uses: A proposal to enact an ordinance adopting definitions of Junk Yard or Wrecking Yard; Recycling, Food-Grade Oil; and Recycling Facilities. The ordinance also establishes permitting Food Grade-Oil Recycling as a Conditional Use in the Industrial zone and Sweetwater Industrial overlay zone. Eagle Mountain Point of Contact: David Stroud: dstroud@emcity.org o EMMC 17.49 Wildlife Corridor Overlay Zone: A proposal to enact an ordinance making changes to the Wildlife Corridor Overlay Zone which establishes protections from development that may adversely impact wildlife and their habitat. This does not change the intent of the zone, but amends definitions and includes additions to add clarity. This final draft has received much input at previous meetings.
