- IRON COUNTY, UTAH IRON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION & COUNTY COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE County Land Use Code Modifications The Iron County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider action during their regularly scheduled meeting, on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Festival Hall located at 105 North 100 East, Cedar City, Utah. The County Commission will hold a public hearing and consider action at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Iron County Courthouse located at 68 S 100 E, Parowan, Utah. The hearings are to receive public comment on proposed revisions and amendments to Iron County Land Use Codes - Ordinance 2024-2 'Amending Sections 17.16.030 - Table of Uses, 17.16.040 - Table of Site Development Standards, and 17.20.010 - Use Definitions.' Considerations to amend Iron County land use codes to provide more land use opportunities for lots/parcels that are smaller than zoning district minimums by reducing lot size requirements for certain land use applications and amending setback requirements in certain zoning districts. All interested persons are invited to attend. Persons having questions or comments concerning this item may contact the Iron County Building/Zoning and Planning Department at (435) 865-5350. Written comments may also be sent to: Iron County Building and Zoning Department, 82 N 100 E, Suite 102, Cedar City, UT 84720 - reed@ironcounty.net.
