Pleasant Grove Historic Preservation Commission Agenda Meeting Date and Time: Thursday, March 21, 2024, 7 PM Meeting Place: Community Room (108 S. 100 E.) Opening Motions Excused: Motion to begin meeting: Second: Motion to approve February meeting minutes: Second: Welcome Members of the Public Eric Jensen (2024 city council liaison) Amy Wadley (potential member, submitted application) Anne Healey (Lehi resident) Monthly Subcommittee Check-in Reports Conduct subcommittee monthly check-in reports from subcommittee heads: Preservation Discuss Main Street. Progress of Main Street Coalition by Rishan Richards? City (Chris Schow) representation at the SHPO training in June during Main Street training (with the goal to become a Tier 1 city). Look at Murray City code and emulate. Community Outreach - Talk about next event: 'Pleasant Grove Connections to the Mormon Battalion' (by (Marina Gish) Mary Ann Kirk), 7 PM at the 0TH. - Give an update on the summer walking tours . - Dismiss a potential service project. Archives No update (Jeanne) History & Publications Currently working on: Main Street walking tour booklet update (Laurel Cunningham) Other Business Items l. Vote to adopt 2024 project list. In February meeting, we brainstormed our 2024 projects. Vote to adopt projects and those spearheading each. 2. Register for the Annual Preservation Utah/SHPO Conference. The conference fills quickly-do not wait to register if interested in attending. 3. Dates to calendar: - Monday, 22 April: Pleasant Grove Connections to the Mormon Battalion (by Mary Ann Kirk), 7 PM at the 0TH - Thursday, April 25: Preservation Utah Community Stewardship Award lunch, 10 AM at Memorial House - Monday, April 29: Annual Volunteer Dinner, 6 PM at Stone Gate Event Center - Friday, June 14: Annual Preservation Utah/SHPO Conference, 8 AM to 5 PM at the Provo City Library - Monday, September 9: Heritage Festival Next PGHPC meeting: Thursday, April 18, 7 PM
