SANDY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC NOTICE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT PARKS, TRAILS & RECREATION MASTER PLAN GPA02202024-006718 Notice is hereby given of intent to amend the Sandy City General Plan and to hold a public hearing before the Sandy City Planning Commission on March 7, 2024 at approximately 6:15 PM. The proposed amendment is to adopt a Parks, Trails & Recreation Master Plan. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission will forward a recommendation to the City Council. The proposed amendment has been scheduled for a work session with the City Council on March 12, 2024 at approximately 5:15 PM and to consider adoption on March 19, 2024 at approximately 5:15 PM. The proposed draft of the Parks, Trails & Recreation Master Plan will be available for review on February 24, 2024 at City Hall (10000 S. Centennial Parkway, Sandy City), on the project website (https://sandypaceofprogress.org/parks-master-plan ), or upon request. All interested parties are invited to review the proposed amendment, provide information or comments, and/or attend the public hearing. The March 7th Planning Commission meeting will be conducted both in-person (in the Sandy City Council Chambers at City Hall, 10000 S. Centennial Pkwy.), and via Zoom Webinar (see details below). Interested parties may attend and participate in the meeting either in-person or by accessing the meeting using the Zoom webinar link below. Attendees wishing to comment who are participating virtually must have a microphone connected to their device (smartphone, laptop, desktop, etc.), otherwise you'll only be able to view the proceedings. A listen-only option is also available by telephone using the phone numbers provided below. The webinar link can be found in the meeting agenda, which will be published at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting and can be found at https://sandyutah.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. Public comment will be taken during the general citizen comment period at the public meeting. If any member of the public is unable to attend or participate in the meeting, that person may e-mail the City Council Executive Director, Dustin Fratto, at dfratto@sandy.utah.gov by 3:00 PM on the day of the meeting to have those comments distributed to the City Council and have them included in the record. Alternatively, written comments may be sent to the City Council by emailing CitizenComment@sandy.utah.gov.
