Garfield County Library Board Meeting
NOVEMBER 9, 2023, AT 7:00 PM
The Garfield County Board meeting was at the Panguitch City Library at 25 South 200 East.
Those in attendance were Suzanne Dunham, Verlaine Spencer, Lyle Talbot, Tracy Wright, Melanie Heaton, and Tyrissa Howell.
CALL TO ORDER
Suzanne Dunham called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Tracy Wright moved, seconded by Verlaine Spencer to approve the minutes as corrected. The motion passed with all in favor.
LIBRARIAN REPORTS
Lyle Talbot mentioned that a first-grade teacher in Kanab wishes to have her class utilize the Bookmobile service. Lyle is hopeful more classes will join. Bookmobile patrons will have access to Libby. He may be driving a new bookmobile by the end of this year.
Verlaine Spencer has started selling her book art at the grocery store to raise money for the friends of the library.
BOARD BUSINESS -
NEW BOARD MEMBERS
The board discussed calling new members. The board came up with a list of eight potential names. It was decided that the Library Director Suzanne Dunham would contact people from the list until the needed number of members is reached.
The board members reviewed the new library website and discussed what contact information to include and the length of board member terms.
PANGUITCH CITY LIBRARY BYLAWS
Tracy Wright moved, seconded by Lyle Talbot, to accept the bylaws for the Panguitch Public Library. The motion passed with all in favor.
SETTING OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is set for February 15, 2024, at 7 p.m.

Tracy Wright moved, seconded by Verlaine Spencer to adjourn at 8:16 PM.
