Amalga Town Council Wednesday January 10, 2024 at 7p.m. at the Amalga town hall at 6590 N 2400 W AMALGA, UTAH Agenda as follows: 1. Welcome / Pledge of allegiance. By Dave Lee 2. Oath Of Office Colette Dursteler, Mark Cowley Administered by Shantrell Ritter a. Colette Dursteler will work on billing. b. Mark Cowley will be over the water system. 3. Approve Minutes from November 8, 2023, meeting. Motion to a. approve by Paul Hansen b. 2nd by Dave Lee 4. Sheriff's Report Not many warnings and tickets 5. Waste Management Report By Shantrell Ritter things are improving with our garbage pickup. Clerks will be meeting up every 60 days to discuss any problems or improvements needed. 6. Amalga Water Delinquent report. Will add a note in the February bill about late fee being added to delinquent accounts starting in March. 7. Council Reports a. Paul Hansen i. need a bill from Lloyd. ii. Went over the town hall remodel. iii. Will get office cleaned up so it is more usable. iv. Need to spend the RAPZ money. Water Fountain. In March need to apply for this year's RAPZ money. v. The Christmas parade went well. vi. Dinner for Seniors with the youth Council vii. Cleaning office needs to be done b. Dave Lee i. Planning and zoning meeting 1. Couple of subdivision applications. a. Mike Jorgenson came in to discuss dividing the property into two pieces was tabled. b. David Wood is breaking off a 1.2-acre property. 2. Talked about the next option for the housing that is not zoned for occupation with the lawyer. 3. Been working on a new check list for zoning applications and if approved by the committee it will be placed on our website. c. Colette Dursteler: No questions d. Mark Cowley: For the Water do we have a budget for repairs. i. Looking at being certified for small system will the city cover this? ii. Liabilities are we covered. Yes, we are. 8. Mayor's report a. Schreiber's still having to finish up the water problem this spring. b. Going to put a booster pump on our north well this spring. c. Dave wood and Dave lee will look in to the GIS 9. Cash Disbursement a. Motion to approve By Dave Lee b. 2nd by Paul Hansen 10. Any New Business for the agenda next month 11. Adjournment Motion to adjourn: Mark Cowley a. 2nd Colette Dursteler
