Description/Agenda

1. Call to Order/Open Meeting: 2. Approval of minutes: January 9, 2024 minutes 3. Citizens to be heard: 4. OSTA Assistant Director Report (Greg): A. Finishing up cleaning and organizing of welding shop B. Cleaning and restructuring of scrap yard, fully fenced in. C. Repaired road and added gravel to the access road from behind main arena to the pavilion. Shifted and added another gate for UTV access during events. Added larger rock to prevent pedestrian from walking downhill. D. Installation of new stripping chute E. Updating/Refinishing loading ramps, along with some welding of panels in main arena pens F. Working on outdoor arena roping boxes. G. Refurbished two old picnic tables that will be used for events. They turned out beautiful and match our lobby counters. 5. OSTA Director Report (Angie): A. Second Phase of the Sound System has been approved by County Commission and is on order this will be reimbursed by the Rec Board. B. Bleachers have been ordered and are expected to arrive in March. Bought with donated RR4W funds. C. Our Maintenance Technician is back from FMLA early as of yesterday February 12th. D. Update on the Department of Recreation Agreement with Grand County. E. Youth Community Service Program F. Updating Open Ride Agreement G. Update on USU 4H Program H. County Fair is moving right along. Will have our first meeting with Volunteers on February 22nd @ 5:30pm I. Were moving right along with projects and getting ready for the event season. Events: January - Local open ride, D's Adventures (every Saturday), Grand County Drill Team practice (Every Friday), Indoor Soccer, PRCA Queen practice, PRCA Queen Clinic, 4-H Horsemanship program, PRCA meeting, TRUST Harassment & Stop the bleed training. February- Local open ride, Community Night (Tuesday) D's Adventures (every Saturday), Grand County Drill Team practice (Every Friday), Indoor Soccer, PRCA Queen practice, 4-H Horsemanship program, PRCA meeting, PRCA Drill Team Practice (Every Sunday), (2) Local birthday parties during open ride. Not to be forgotten, will discuss when updates are available: - World Trail (need design+ sponsors / donation) Trail to be formalized by arena staff by adding reject gravel +Horse Obstacle Course - Outdoor Arena - Maintenance and construction upgrade stage 1 of 3 (1 arena, 2 roping chutes & steer run, 3 Cover over arena, lights, bleachers, announcer's booth, wind breaks, and bucking chutes) Working on roping boxes now. - Implement Shed- Should discuss putting this into future capital works projects pending above DOR update? - Convention/Expo Hall- - OSTA Development Master Plan- - OSTA Emergency Operating Plan (EOP)- Draft in progress Board Member Reports: Kathy- Rex- Patrick- Bob- Krista- Jennifer- Mike- 6. New Business: By-Laws (If available, Comm Admin are working on these), Review EOP Draft. 7. Next Agenda items: 8.
