INVITATION TO BID Tooele City 90 North Main Tooele City, Utah 84074 Notice is hereby given that Tooele City Corporation (OWNER) will accept bids for construction of the 2024 Droubay Road Widening Project, according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by Paul Hansen Associates, and described in general as: Work of this Construction Contract comprises the widening of Droubay Road between Vine Street and Smelter Streets. The roadway is approximately 3,200 linear feet in length, and the project involves clearing and grubbing; removal and off-site disposal of the existing roadway asphalt, excavation and surplus earth materials; installation of approximately 6,350 linear feet of curb and gutter, 8,000 square feet of sidewalk, 3,250 linear feet of asphalt trail, 4,600 square feet of concrete block retaining wall, street lighting, storm drain inlets and related appurtenances. Separate sealed bids will be received by the OWNER in Room 227, of the Tooele City Municipal Offices located at 90 North Main, Tooele, Utah 84074 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 13, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Project Bid Documents will be issued in digital format (PDF), and may be obtained by contacting Tooele City Public Works Department, Room 108, 90 North Main, Tooele, Utah 84074 beginning on Wednesday February 7, 2024 during office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by calling (435) 843-2130, Option 1. All Bidders must register with the City in order to be considered for Award of Bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Prospective BIDDERS are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference which will be held in Room 224, of the Tooele City Municipal Offices at 2:00 PM on Tuesday March 5, 2024. The object of the conference is to acquaint BIDDERs with the site conditions, specifications, and to answer any questions which BIDDERs may have concerning the project.
