- PUBLIC OFFICIALS TRAINING SESSION OFFICIALS FROM THE TOWNS OF SPRINGDALE, ROCKVILLE, AND VIRGIN WILL ATTEND A JOINT TRAINING SESSION ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2024, AT 9:00 AM AT THE CANYON COMMUNITY CENTER, LOCATED AT 126 LION BOULEVARD, SPRINGDALE, UTAH NO ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN BY ANY OF THE PUBLIC BODY PARTICIPANTS 8:40 am - 9:00 am Light Breakfast/Networking 9:00 am - Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) Training Jami Brackin Deputy City Attorney, St. George, Utah 10:00 am - Development Agreements and Settlement Agreements: What Are They and How Are They Used? Thomas Dansie, AICP Director of Community Development, Town of Springdale 10:30 am - 15-minute break 10:45 am - Legal Guardrails for Land Use Administration in Small Rural Communities Daniel C. Dansie Shareholder, Kirton McConkie Past Chair, Real Property Section of the Utah State Bar 12:00 pm - Lunch 12:30 pm - Springdale Town Council and Springdale Planning Commission Breakout Session Session times are approximate. We anticipate the training to last about three and a half hours for Rockville and Virgin attendees and approximately four and a half hours for Springdale attendees. A light breakfast, as well as lunch, will be provided for everyone to enjoy. **The public is invited to attend. However, non-official attendees must plan for their own lunch.
