- IRON COUNTY, UTAH IRON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Iron County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider action during their regularly scheduled meeting, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Justice Center Court Room located at 82 North 100 East, Cedar City, Utah. The hearing is to receive public comment on an application for a Conditional Use Permit - 'Solar Power Battery Energy Storage System' (320 MW hours of electricity) - located near 2336 S Bench Road, Newcastle, Utah. Applicant: Enterprise Storage, LLC. Approximately 4.15 acres, a portion of a 478.5 acre parcel, within the E1/2 SW1/4 Section 24, T36S, R16W, SLB&M, Iron County, UT (APN: E-1463-0001-0000). All interested persons are invited to attend. Persons having questions or comments concerning this item may contact the Iron County Building/Zoning and Planning Department at (435) 865-5350.
