Notice of Intent
North Logan City General Plan Rewrite Project
NOTICE OF INTENT:
North Logan City hereby announces its intent to prepare a new General Plan. As required by Utah Code 10-9a-401, a General Plan is a legally-required document that guides current and long-term growth, directs capital investments, and provides the rationale for local ordinances. The State requires general plans to address issues such as land uses, housing, and transportation. The City's current plan was developed and adopted over ten years ago. Many things have changed since then, and the regional growth pressure in our area is expected to continue.
The new North Logan City General Plan will impact the entirety of North Logan City. All members of the public, business owners, and any potentially impacted entities are invited to participate in the creation of this new general plan.
PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE #1:
All North Logan City Citizens, land owners, business owners, and any other potentially affected entity are cordially invited to join us for the first public open house of the North Logan City General Plan Rewrite project.
Date: Thursday, February 1st, 2024
Time: 4:00 - 8:00 PM (Open House - Come and go as your time allows)

Style of Meeting and What to Expect: Public Open House Format - Come for as long or as little as your time allows. Be prepared to share your comments and opinions through a variety of formats (anecdotal, written, interaction with maps and exhibits, surveys, and preference poles).
Desired Outcome: Begin forming a broad community vision of the city's future including topics such as population growth, land use, transportation, parks and recreation, economic development, water and utilities, and community character.
ONGOING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
Several public events and public meetings will be held during specific milestones along the plan's creation. Notice of these events/meetings will be provided on the project website, the city's main website, and via additional dissemination channels (Utah Public Notice website, social media, newsletters, and parlant messages). Please reach out to the city's front office secretary to ensure you are signed up for the city's messaging system.
