SPRING CITY LINDOW/ALLRED/RASMUSSEN ANNEXATION NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION A Petition for Annexation has been filed with Spring City proposing the annexation of an area to Spring City known as the 'Lindow/Allred/Rasmussen Annexation.' The Spring City City Council received Notice of Certification of the annexation petition on January 4, 2024. The area proposed for annexation is shown in the attached exhibit. Contains: 37.44+/- acres The area proposed for annexation to Spring City will also automatically be annexed to the Spring City Fire Service Area district. Spring City is entirely within the boundaries of the local district that provides fire protection, emergency services, and law enforcement. Spring City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition to the city unless written protest(s) to the annexation petition is filed with the Sanpete County Clerk (Linda Christiansen) and a copy of the protest delivered to the Spring City Recorder. Protests shall be filed with the Sanpete County Clerk, at 160 N Main, Manti, UT, 84642 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays, except holidays. A copy of the protest shall also be delivered to Ruth Ann McCain, Spring City Recorder, 45 South 100 East, Spring City, Utah 84627. A protest to the annexation may be filed by the legislative body, a governing body of an affected entity, or the 'owner of rural real property' according to UCA 10-2-407. The deadline for filing protests to the Lindow/Allred/Rasmussen Annexation Petition is 12:00 p.m., February 2, 2024. A complete copy of the Lindow/Allred/Rasmussen Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Spring City Recorder, 45 South 100 East, Utah, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except holidays. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Certificate of Posting The undersigned, duly appointed City Recorder, does hereby certify that the above notice was posted within the Spring City limits on this 11th day of January, 2024 at the following locations: 1) Spring City Hall 2) Spring City website at springcityutah.org 3) the Public Notice Website 4) on Spring City Canyon Road, 700 East, 600 South, 500 East and Canal Canyon Road noticing property owners within the combined areas and 1/2 a mile of annexation.
