Description/Agenda

Price River Watershed Conservation District will not be holding their regular district meeting in January. They will however host, in conjunction with Green River Conservation District and San Rafael Conservation District, a Local Work Group meeting to be held January 10th at 6pm at the USU Extension classroom located in the Carbon County Administration Building. Please plan to attend and bring with you a list of your resource concerns, funding needs and potential project ideas. Dinner will be provided. If you plan to attend please RSVP to Julie Weber julieweber@utah.gov as soon as possible. Carbon/ Emery Local Work Group Agenda Purpose: Identify local natural resource/farming/ranching needs direct federal and state money and efforts. Product: A list of treatable concerns as location specific as possible- and a plan to move forward on them Agenda 1. Open a. Introductions 2. Agency updates a. Forest Service b. Bureau of Land Management c. Forestry, Fire and State Lands d. Grazing Improvement Program e. Utah Department of Ag and Food f. Natural Resources Conservation Services g. Department of Wildlife Resources h. USU Extension i. Conservation District Boards j. Anyone accidentally left off this list. 3. Identifying Resource concerns. a. Let's find out what Local priorities are. 4. Prioritize and Localize Resource Concerns. a. Let's identify what we can focus efforts on first, and where they are happening. 1. Pre plan task force groups. a. Setting a plan for which agencies/individuals are interested in teaming up to tackle any given issue. 2. Close the meeting. a. Bring up anything it feels like we missed and schedule a time to follow up.
