Joseph Town Council Public Hearing Minutes Dec 4, 2023 6:00pm PRESENT: Dave & Cheryl Bytheway, Terry Balch, Mayor Jared Campbell, Marty Anderson, Troy Campbell, Doug Nowell, Haley Obray, Nikole Campbell ABSENT: Mike Jorgensen PRAYER: Mayor Jared Campbell PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Jared Campbell explained that the town received a $10,000 grant from the State of Utah Health Dept. The money needed to be added to the annual budget. The money from the Health Dept will be spent within the next year on improvements to the Town Park. $2,279.56 has already been spent. Because the town still has appx $150,000 waiting to be spent on the spring improvement project, the town is able to collect the interest from this money. Last year the town earned $19,204.00 in interest. Year to date the town has collected $10,607.37 in interest. Because of this interest funds need to be moved around to stay within the town's budget. Funds will need to be allocated to the Capital Project Funds. The amount allocated is $27,316.00. Marty Motioned to accept the changes to the Budget as explained. Doug 2nd it. All were in favor.
