NOTICE OF ELECTION
2024 REGULAR GENERAL ELECTION
I, Deidre M. Henderson, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Utah, in accordance with Utah Code Annotated ยง20A-5-101, do hereby notify each County Clerk that:
I. attached is a list of the offices to be filled at the regular general election to be held in the State of Utah on Tuesday, November 5, 2024;
2. attached is a list of filing fees;
3. the Declaration of Candidacy filing period for qualified political party candidates begins on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024;
4. the Declaration of Candidacy filing period for local board of education candidates begins on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024;
5. the Declaration of Candidacy filing period for registered political party candidates begins on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April, 29, 2024.
6. the Declaration of Candidacy filing period for justices and judges of a court of record begins Monday, July l, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024;
7. the Declaration of Intent to Gather Signatures period for qualified political party candidates begins on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
8. Qualified political party candidates must submit nomination petition signatures no later than 14 days before the day on which the qualified political party holds its convention to select candidates for the elective office.
9. Registered political party candidates must submit nomination petition signatures no later than April l, 2024.

1. FEDERAL
a. U.S. President and Vice President. These positions will be elected for a four (4) year term.
b. U.S Senate. One (1) Senator for a six (6) year term.
c. U.S. House of Representatives. One Representative for a two (2) year term in each of the following U.S. Congressional Districts:
i. First District. The First Congressional District consists of Box Elder, Cache, Morgan, Rich, and Weber Counties as well as portions of Davis, Salt Lake, and Summit Counties.
ii. Second District. The Second Congressional District consists of Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, Millard, Piute, Sevier, Tooele, Washington, and Wayne Counties as well as portions of Davis, Juab, and Salt Lake Counties.
iii. Third District. The Third Congressional District consists of Carbon, Daggett, Duchesne, Emery, Grand, San Juan, Uintah, and Wasatch Counties as well as portions of Salt Lake, Summit, and Utah Counties.
iv. Fourth District. The Fourth Congressional District consists of Sanpete County as well as portions of Juab, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties.
2. STATE
a. State Executive. The following positions will be elected for a four (4) year term:
i. Governor ii. Lieutenant Governor.
iii. Attorney General.
iv. State Auditor.
v. State Treasurer.
b. State Senate. One member for a four (4) year term from each of the following state senate districts:
i. District Two (2) is located in portions of Cache and Rich Counties.
ii. District Three (3) is located in poftions of Morgan, Summit, and Weber Counties.
iii. District Four (4) is located in portions of Davis and Weber Counties.
iv. District Eight (8) Davis and Salt Lake Counties.
v. District Ten (10) a Salt Lake County.
vii. District Twelve (12) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County for a two (2) year term.
viii. District Fifteen (15) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County.
ix. District Sixteen (16) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County.
xi. District Seventeen (17) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County.
xii. District Twenty-two (22) is located in portions of Salt Lake and Utah Counties.
xiii. District Twenty-four (24) is located in portions of Utah and Wasatch Counties.
xiv. District Twenty-five (25) is located in a portion of Utah County.
xv. District Twenty-six (26) is located in Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan, and Wasatch Counties and portions of Garfield, Kane, Utah, and Wayne Counties.
xvi. District Twenty-seven (27) is located in Sanpete and Sevier Counties and portions of Garfield, Juab, Kane, Millard, Piute, Utah, Washington, and Wayne Counties.
xvii. District Twenty-nine (29) is located in a portion of Washington County.
c. State House of Representatives. One member of the Utah House of Representatives for a two
(2) year term from each of the seventy-five (75) state legislative districts.
i. District One (1) is located in Box Elder County and a portion of Cache County.
ii. District Two (2) is located in a portion of Cache County.
ii. District Three (3) is located in a portion of Cache County.
iv. District Four (4) is located in Rich County and portions of Morgan and Summit Counties.
iv. District Five (5) is located in a portion of Cache County.

i. District Three (3) is located in portions of Davis and Weber Counties.
ii. District Six (6) is located in portions of Salt Lake and Summit Counties.
iii. District Seven (7) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County.
iv. District Nine (9) is located in a portion of Salt Lake County.
v. District Ten (10) is located in portions of Tooele, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties.
vi. District Twelve (12) is located in Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Utah, and WasatchCounties.
vii. Thirteen (13) Utah County.
viii. District Fifteen (15) is located in Garfield, Kane, Piute, San Juan, Washington, and Wayne Counties and a portion of Iron County.
E. Local Boards of Education. Members of the local boards of education should be elected as determined by individual school boards or districts.
3. JUDICIAL
a. Supreme Court. There will be a retention election for one (1) Supreme Court Judge, provided that the incumbent whose term is expiring files during the filing period.
b. Court of Appeals. There will be a retention election for one (l) Court of Appeals Judges, provided that the incumbent whose term is expiring files during the filing period.
c. District Court. There will be a retention election for thirty (30) District Court Judges in the following districts, provided that the incumbent(s) whose term is expiring files during the filing period:
i. First District. Two (2) Judges in the First Judicial District, which consists of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties.
ii. Second District. Six (6) Judges in the Second Judicial District, which consists of Davis, Morgan, and Weber Counties.
iii. Third District. Nine (9) Judges in the Third Judicial District, which consists of Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele Counties.
iv. Fourth District. Seven (7) Judges in the Fourth Judicial District, which consists of Juab, Millard, Utah, and Wasatch Counties.
v. Fifth District. Three (3) Judges in the Fifth Judicial District, which consists of Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties.
vi. Sixth District. One (1) Judge in the Sixth Judicial District, which consists of Garfield, Kane, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, and Wayne Counties.
vii. Seventh District. One (l) Judge in the Seventh Judicial District, which consists of Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan Counties.
viii. Eighth District. One (l) Judge in the Eighth Judicial District, which consists of Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah Counties.
d. Juvenile Court. There will be a retention election for twelve (12) Juvenile Court Judges in the following districts, provided that the incumbent(s) whose term is expiring files during the filing period:
i. First District. One (1) Judge in the First Judicial District, which consists of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties.
ii. Second District. Two (2) Judges in the Second Judicial District, which consists of Davis, Morgan, and Weber Counties.
iii. Third District. Five (5) Judges in the Third Judicial District, which consists of Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele Counties.
iv. Fourth District. One (1) Judge in the Fourth Judicial District, which consists of Juab, Millard, Utah, and Wasatch Counties
v. Fifth District. Two (2) Judges in the Fifth Judicial District, which consists of Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties.
vi. Eighth District. One (l) Judge in the Eighth Judicial District, which consists of Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah Counties.
e. Justice Court. Any Justice Court judge whose term is expiring shall be subject to an unopposed retention election in the county or counties in which the court to which the judge is appointed is located.
