- NOTICE OF INTENT OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LA VERKIN GENERAL PLAN In accordance with Section 10-9a-203 of the Utah State Code, the City of La Verkin, Utah is considering a minor change to its general plan, which was adopted in 2018. The minor change will only consist of amending the city's general plan map. No changes to the general plan text is proposed with this amendment. A description of the proposed amendment consists of the following: General Plan Amendment (Applicant - Lance Ferguson of Stone Water LLC). Stone Water LLC is requesting to amend the general plan from Planned Community Development and Open Space to Commercial for approximately 40 acres generally located south of State Highway 9 and west of the city's corporate boundary (See attached locational exhibit). The public and any affected entities are invited to attend the public hearing to provide comments and provide information for the city to consider concerning: 1. Impacts that the use of land proposed in the proposed general plan or amendment may have; and, 2. Uses of land within the municipality that the affected entity is considering that may conflict with the proposed general plan or amendment. A public hearing will be held on this item before the La Verkin Planning Commission on January 10,2024, at 6:00 p.m. at 111 South Main.
