NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT #3 TO DAVIS COUNTY'S 2022-2023 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. a Public Hearing will be held in Room 303, Commission Chambers, Administration Building, 61 South Main Street, Farmington, Utah, before the Davis County Commission to accept public comments on the following: - Substantial Amendment #3 to the County's 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan (AAP). The AAP outlines the County's annual funding priorities for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). - This Substantial Amendment is to cancel its homeownership assistance activity. The activity was originally set up as a revolving loan, but will have no draw before the end of the program year. The County has also decided that this activity is better as a regular homeownership assistance activity rather than a revolving loan fund. The County will re-program the funds toward a new activity during its 2024 program year. The County is responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of the AAP in accordance with the CDBG program guidelines. The AAP covers the 18 month period from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023. - From November 30, 2023 until January 8, 2024, the Plan will be available for public review upon request. Prior to approving any recommendations, the Davis County Commission will consider and review all public comments, as well as recommendations provided by the Community & Economic Development Department. This is the only public hearings on this matter. If you are unable to attend, written comments may be submitted to rsteinbeigle@daviscountyutah.gov.
