Preliminary Minutes of the Southwestern Special Service District Meeting held on Thursday November 16, 2023, 7:00 p.m. at the Winchester Hills Fire Station, Winchester Hills, Utah I. Call to Order: Ferris emery A. Invocation: Rich B. Pledge of Allegiance: Don C. Attendance: Don, Ferris, Kathy, Rich, Cheif Christensen Cheryl came in late to meeting due to traveling. II. Public Comments No Public in attendance III. Reports A. Fire Cheif's Report: 4 medical calls, and 1 brush fire B. Approve September 2023 minutes: Rich made a motion to approve the Sepetember 2023 minutes, Don 2nd that motion, approved unaimously. IV. Financial Reports A. Approve financial reports: Don made a motion to approve the Sept. & Oct 2023 financial reports, Kathy 2nd that motion, approved unanimously. B. Bills: Reimburstment check to Daryl Fisk, Tatum $300.00 2 months, Mortgage payment, Brian reimbursed for books ordered, utilities. Kathy made a motion to pay bills, Don 2nd that motion, approved unanimously. C. Proposed 2024 Budget: Don made a motion to approve proposed 2024 budget, Rich 2nd that motion, approved unanimously. D. Life Insurance payment change: Printed out at Cheryl's, she will get them to Tatum to be paid. Cheryl will work on it and communicate with Rich VI. Business A. Public hearing date: December 20, will get published and posted. B. Discussion and approval of mutaul aid agreement with St. George City: Don made a motion to accept the agreement, Rich 2nd that motion, approved unanimously. C. Christmas Party will be on December 2, 2023 D. Light Parade with Mr and Mrs Claus will be December 16, 2023 Don made a motion to adjourn, Kathy 2nd that motion, approved unanimously Next meeting scheduled for December 20, 2023 at 7:00 pm
