CANCELLED SALT LAKE CITY PLANNING DIVISION HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 5:30 PM City & County Building 451 South State Street, Room 315 Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 (The order of the items may change at the Commission's discretion) This meeting will be held in person at the Salt Lake City & County Building. DINNER - Dinner will be served to the Commissioners and Staff at 5:00 p.m. in Room 425 of the City and County Building. During the dinner break, the Historic Landmark Commission may receive training on city planning-related topics, including the role and function of the Commission. HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION MEETING WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 PM APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES REPORT OF THE CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR PUBLIC COMMENTS - The Commission will hear public comments not pertaining to items listed on the agenda. PUBLIC HEARING 1. POSTPONED - Certificate of Appropriateness for Window Replacements at Approximately 182 North N Street - Rodrigo Schmeil, property owner, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the replacement of 18 windows, 13 of which are located on elevations visible from the right of way. This alteration to the exterior of the home requires approval by the Historic Landmark Commission. The proposed windows, which replaced historic windows located on the North, East, and South fa ades of the house, would be approved retroactively as the windows have already been replaced. The subject property is located at 182 North N Street and is a contributing structure within the Avenues Local Historic District. The subject property is within Council District 3, represented by Chris Wharton. (Staff Contact: Grant Amann at 801-535-6171 or grant.amann@slcgov.com) Case Number: PLNHLC2022-01202 The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2023, unless a special meeting is scheduled prior to that date. For Historic Landmark Commission agendas, staff reports, and minutes, visit the Planning Division's website at slc.gov/planning/public-meetings. Staff Reports will be posted the Friday prior to the meeting and minutes will be posted two days after they are ratified, which usually occurs at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Historic Landmark Commission. Anyone who is an 'adversely affected party' as defined by Utah Code Section 10-9a-103, may appeal a decision of the Historic Landmark Commission by filing a written appeal with the appeals hearing officer within ten (10) calendar days following the date on which a record of decision is issued. The applicant may object to the decision of the Historic Landmark Commission by filing a written appeal with the appeals hearing officer within thirty (30) calendar days following the date on which a record of decision is issued.
