- NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE SUMMIT COUNTY MUNICIPAL TYPE SERVICE AREA The SUMMIT COUNTY MUNICIPAL TYPE SERVICE AREA is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. - The SUMMIT COUNTY MUNICIPAL TYPE SERVICE AREA tax on a $1,198,000 residence would increase from $202.28 to $214.30, which is $12.02 per year. - The SUMMIT COUNTY MUNICIPAL TYPE SERVICE AREA tax on a $1,198,000 business would increase from $367.79 to $389.64, which is $21.85 per year. - If the proposed budget is approved, SUMMIT COUNTY MUNICIPAL TYPE SERVICE AREA would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 5.94% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.
