1. Minutes of September 6, 2023, read by April Hansen.
Motion to Approve-Judy Downs
2. Zoning Clearance application from Colton Oryall at 2505 W 6200 N for a shop, 30' X 40', power at some point. Clearances reviewed.
Motion to Approve-April Hansen
3. Zoning Clearance application from Nikolas Nielson at 2435 W 6200 N for a building, 14' X 24'. Building will be used as an office. It will have water, power, and septic. Septic will need approval from Bear River Health. Certification from BRH needed before any zoning action can take place.
Motion to Table-Judy Downs
Amalga has several places in town where unauthorized activities are taking place, i.e. individuals living in trailers not authorized, individuals renting apartments, etc. After lengthy discussion the Mayor will contact the town attorney to get some guidance. It was also decided that perhaps the town has reached a point where the code needs to be adjusted to possibly allow some of the things that are now considered violations. The board will consider this and will bring areas of concern to the next meeting. A public hearing is being considered to get input from citizens as to their thoughts on this.
