- Agenda for OVPSA Board Meeting Oct 10/16/2023, 8:00pm Board Meeting, Eden Bowery OVPSA Excused: Lon lewis, Julie Mertlich Attending: Charlie Graff, Artie Powell, Chris Allen, Chris Phipps, Greg Graves, Lon Childs, Mark Ferrin, Mike Loud, Tim Brown, Nedra Peterson Welcome: Board Chair, Mark Ferrin Agenda: Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes - approved by Artie Powell Quarterly Review of Financial Statements Guests - Several from Liberty & Huntsville Mark F - Board input and Discussion with Marshall McGonegal Comments: Has there been any additional comments around the skate park. Cost is $55-65 per sq foot. 10sqf per 25k residents Build a program and show need and support then build the structure. Tony Hawk Skate org for support and resources & blue diamond nevada (above ground feature) recommended creating a NPO Ogden Valley Skate Group to organize, measure and fund. Temp Skate park pop up weekend in Huntsville 2024 Chris Phipps - Eden Park is requesting $6,000 in non-budgeted funds to reconstitute its Park Manager position, back-dating to 1.1.23 @ $500/ month Comments: 6 votes in favor of approving back pay 1 vote opposed to funding by OVPSA Chris Phipps -Budget process: Each park has been asked to prepare a budget and submit to OVPSA by 11/11/23 needs and budget. Discusse - Monthly OVPSA meeting time 6/7/8pm Open Items Allocation of huntsville budget for 2024 PARK CLASSIFICATION CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS. review and vote Jeff & Shae: Asked for $3,000.00 funding/donation for capitol equipment needed to scale and reduce enrollment costs for baseball program. This was voted and approved 100%. Shae: owner and creator of https://www.ogdenvalleyrec.com/ non-profit organization to market and centralize Ogden Valley Rec programs Annual cost $300 Other General Park Updates: Liberty Park Board POC - Eden Park Board POC - Huntsville Park Board POC - Next meeting to be held: Nov 13th, 8:00 PM, Eden Bowery Next agenda: OVPSA Webiste Allocation of huntsville budget for 2024 Shae & Charlie present budget and funding request for 2024 Ogden Valley Rec
