Minutes from the Woodruff Town Board meeting held September 21, 2023 at the Town Hall at 6:00 p.m.
Those present:
Mayor Scott Sabey
Council Members: Seiko Webb, Monika Schulthess, Raymond Frandsen
Clerk: Allie Deru
Ocie Frazier
The town board had a public meeting about the subdivision ordinance and the state regulations that needed to be added. Kendall Welch has been helping us with that and will get that uploaded to our civiclinQ site. Ocie Frazier was there as a public member to learn more about the subdivision ordinance. Ocie also talked about cleaning out the water company ditches that run through town to hopefully prevent massive flooding in the future. The water company has discussed putting in new culverts in the Dean ditch, by Lanny Putnam's shed and by Tom Schulthess' place.
Seiko Webb made the motion to adopt the subidivision ordinance. Monika Schulthess seconded the motion.
The culvert by Dale Stacey's house has been installed. It turned out well and will be much better than the previous culvert to prevent flooding in that area.
Mayor Sabey called into the tourism board meeting to present the grant that we submitted for a pavilion at the rodeo grounds. He said that it went well and the board sounded optimistic.
The town needs to order new flags. Monika Schulthess is going to get the count number to Allie Deru and she will get them ordered.
Allie Deru is working on the road grant and has been in contact with Brittany Alfau and Brian Carver. The board discussed having Bill Cox look it over and give any suggestions about changes.
Paul Webb came to our meeting to discuss his plans for the next month or so. He is going to clean the carpet, trim trees at fairgrounds, put away benches, mow park, blow out sprinklers with Jared Davis, paint and clean the back room, check Christmas decorations and clean up the tractor and service vehicles.
Seiko Webb made the motion to approve the September bills. Raymond Frandsen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Monika Schulthess made the motion to approve August minutes. Monika Schulthess seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
