- NEWTON, UTAH NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF NEWTON TOWN MUNICIPAL ELECTION November 21, 2023 According to Utah Code, due to only two candidates filing for two council member openings and no other ballot propositions, the Newton Town Council has cancelled the Newton municipal election. The Newton Town Council has declared the candidates Jed Woodward and Steven Jenkins elected to office. Resolution 2023-02, canceling the municipal election, approved and passed by the Newton Town Council on the 5th day of October, 2023. Dated this 11th day of October 2023. Karla R.
