Amalga Town Council Wednesday September 13, 2023 at 7p.m. at the Amalga town hall at Agenda as follows: 1. Welcome / Pledge of allegiance. Lead by Shantrell Ritter 2. Roll call: Dave Woods Mayor, Paul Hansen Council Member, Rick Fonnesbeck Council Member, Shantrell Ritter Clerk, Eric Dursteler Visitor 3. Approve Minutes from August meeting. a. Motion to Approve Paul Hansen, b. 2nd Rick Fonnesbeck 4. Sheriff's Report Need more time out here 5. Review and Approve Amalga town Main Street 2400 W chip and fog seal street improvement project. Award the project to Stalker Parsons. Have the town ask to put the past awards into one to finish project request letter. a. Motion to accept Parsons bid Schedule for $183,544 By Paul Hansen b. 2nd Rick Fonnesbeck 6. 3200/ 2700 W Chip and Fog seal project we will wait. 7. Eric Dursteler COG project update - Schreiber's - Canal company wanted Schreiber's to add bentonite and then they wanted them to be liable for any future water problems. The new easement will run down in front of park and then put it all on Gibbs property. Lawyers will work it out and after all parties agree the Mayor will sign the contract. 8. Council Reports Paul Hansen- need new water fountain. For the Day of Service, the youth worked on cleaning the town hall. Updates for the town hall in the future include fixing or replacing a couple of the windows (they don't close securely), and look into replacing carpet and tile (Paul will look into the cost of upgrading. Town hall has already been reserved two times for next year. Rick Fonnesbeck - Fix meter down by Sharp's. While fixing meter there was a fire hydrant that broke. Rick will call down by Petersen plumbing to see if they can fix it. It is recommended that we bleed the hydrants once a year. With imminent growth we need to have an ISO report done because it has been a while since it we had an ISO report from the fire department. Pump in well number 2 will flip off on its own will get Valley out here to look at it. Add the following note into water bills: When you have a leak or need to turn off your water, please contact Rick Fonnesbeck. 9. Mayor's report- Still spraying for mosquitos will spray a couple more times. On the 2nd of October will be the COG presentation. Still working with Schreiber's, See notes from Eric Dursteler. 10. Cash Disbursements a. Motion to approve by Rick Fonnesbeck. b. 2nd Paul Hansen 11. Items for October's Council meeting. Fountain and floors 12. Adjournment a.
