JOSEPH TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING August 29, 2023 PRESENT: Commission members: Vic Middleton, Brent Parker, Ed Payette, Peggy Smith Guests: Chad and Leah Cook, Mikel Dunn, Tami and Kevin Williams The meeting was held at the Joseph Community Center and called to order by Chairman Ed Payette at 7:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion: Motion by Vic to accept the minutes of July 25, 2023. Motion seconded by Brent. Passing votes by Vic, Brent, Ed, and Peggy. Against vote - none. AGENDA ITEMS: Chad Cook - building application for 60x60, 16' eave, steel building on Lot 7 at 255 West Lieb. The building will have power. Water and septic tank will be prepped for future installation. Application was approved and referred to the Town Council meeting on September 7. Mikel Dunn - building application for modular home at 400 N 160 W (2-J16-22). Application was approved and referred to the Town Council meeting on September 7. Tami Williams - building application for 40x30 workshop at 270 S State. Plans reviewed and necessary revisions of 6' between buildings were discussed. Application not approved at this time. NEW ITEMS: Discussion on building over property lines (same owner) should be discussed with the attorney for clarification. Fencing recommendations from attorney are to simplify. Vic will work on this ordinance update. TOWN COUNCIL REPORT - Doug Nowell not present: ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 pm.
