SYRACUSE CITY Syracuse City Disaster Preparedness Committee September 28, 2023 - 7:00 p.m. Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S. Notice is hereby given that the Syracuse City Disaster Preparedness Committee will participate in a meeting on Thursday September 28, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the large conference room of theMunicipal building, 1979 W. 1900 S., Syracuse City, Davis County, Utah. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss/review the following items: Welcome: Patrick Carroll Call to Order: Patrick Carroll Prayer: TBA Pledge of Allegiance Review Meeting Minutes: Dennis Opp Welcome Guests/Visitors: Steven Loforte Syracuse Connection Magazine articles: 1. Article for December issue written by Mr. Patrick Carroll - Topic: Don't Worry, Be Happy This was already reviewed in committee a few months ago. Committee Business: 1. Mr. Bohn report on Duane Cheney continuing on the committee as a member at large. 2. Mr. Loforte to present the Emergency Preparedness exercise to the committee. 3. Committee members to report on status of NIMS courses 100 and 700 (by 1/1/24 and provide Mrs. Behm proof of completion). Action Item Update: 1. Mr. Redmond will send the draft of the Frequency plan to the committee. 2. Mrs. Behm report on the person in Centerville about our DPC wanting to help support their Emergency Fair. 3. Mrs. Behm sent invitations to the committee for a DPC GroupMe. 4. Mrs. Behm to report on getting the flier information to the person in the city that does the Facebook posts to add it to the city FB page. 5. Mrs. Behm to report on conversation with mayor to speak directly with the stake presidents from Fremont and Syracuse districts. 6. Mr. Redmond to report on status of Clearfield, Layton, and Davis County ARES to figure out frequency use in a disaster.
