Meeting Minutes SANPETE CONSERVATION DISTRICT Monday, May 15, 2022 Time: 11:00 A.M. EPHRIAM CITY HALL -Basement LOCATION: Ephraim, Utah ATTENDANCE: SURPERVISORS: Mike Larson, Scott Sunderland, and Bruce Christenson CLERK: Magen Pike Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF): Tracy Balch Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS): Wade Ingram Watershed: BreeAnn Bloomfield SUMMERY OF DISTRICT ACTIONS A) A motion to approve minutes from April 15, 2023. Pg. 1 B) A motion to approve meeting agenda for May 15, 2023. Pg. 1 C) A motion was made to bring any outstanding bills forward. Pg. 1 D) A motion was made to approve any outstanding bills to be paid. Pg. 1 E) A motion was made for drill tool budget. Pg. 2 F) A motion was made to adjourned the Sanpete CD meeting. Pg. 2 SANPETE CD MEETING - CALL TO ORDER Mike Larson called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. Meeting Minutes: a) Approve of current agenda May 15, 2023. A motion was made by Bruce Christenson to approve, second by Scott Sunderland. Unanimous Approval. b) Approve of meeting minutes March 13, 2023. A motion was made by Bruce Christenson to approve, second by Scott Sunderland. Unanimous Approval. Financial Business: a) A motion was made by Scott Sunderland and second by Bruce Christenson to bring any outstanding bills/invoices before the board for consideration and discussion. b) A motion made to pay CD Clerk for November at $250. c) A motion made to pay for repairs and maintenance on equipment. d) A motion was made by Bruce Christenson and second by Scott Sunderland to pay all outstanding bills. Board Business: Board Members a) Went over tensive budget. b) Implement reports for drill rental. c) Find another employee to help find and apply for grants and funding projects. d) Find more projects. UDAF Business: Tracy Balch a) Tree program deliveries are Thursday. b) Department of Agriculture, how to deal with flooding notice. c) Listed many grants to fund projects, can be found on the agriculture.utah website. Watershed Business: a) Scott M project completed. b) Nonpoint project, nonpoint source applications. c) Letter of support to Cox for Southwest Farms water funds. d) Watershed Meeting June 1st, 2023. ARDL Business: JP Contreras a) No current loans to be approved or looked into at this time. NRCS Business: Wade a) Farm Field Day b) New employees are being added to the team. c) More funding for IRA d) SFNP funding CD Employee Business: Jason Krabes a) Jason Krabes is the new Conservation District planner. b) Drill maintenance c) A motion to have a budget for maintenance tools of $200.00 made by Bruce Christenson and second by Scott Sunderland. Other Business: A motion was made to adjourn the meeting made by Bruce Christenson and second by Scott Sunderland meeting at 12:45 p.m. The next Sanpete CD meeting will be June 12, 2023 at 11:00 am.
