EASTLAND SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT--Meeting Agenda Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00 PM MST At the Eastland Schoolhouse 1- Vote: Approval of previous meeting minutes (June, 2023) 2- Public Comment: This is the time for citizens to address the Board on matters not on the agenda. Comments should be limited to matters within the jurisdiction of the Board. If your comment concerns an item on the agenda please address the Board after that item is open for public comment. Chair reserves the right to limit the duration of each speaker to 3 minutes. Discussion Items 3- Update: 2023 YTD financials (P/L, Balance Sheet) -Misti 4- Update: Current DEQ IPS Compliance Report and Arsenic Test due Sept 30, 2023--Janet/Zach 5 -Update: Water Usage Report 2022 was due 3/31/23 (was it submitted?)-Zach 6-Update: Inventory for state by Sunrise Engineering has begun and ongoing plan re lead/copper in the system due Oct 16, 2024 Update-Janet Action Items 7- Vote: Remote read meters and vaults replacement timing and cost. 3 Calvert/King/Main meters plan? Any new expenses/map of system/shut offs? -Janet 8-Discussion and Vote: Ownership docs north end email-Janet 9- Vote: Garbage dumpster issues and part and full year rate increase -Kay and Misti 10-Vote: Increase water rates overall and full and part year rates-Zach/Janet 11-Vote: Budget adjustments--Janet/Misti/Zach OLD (already approved) Tower leak fix cost so far-about $4,000 (no bill from Fritz) Chlorine receptacle ($550) New computer ($0 not now) Financial review 2022 CPA ($500 to Whitman) NEW Estimates Split Fix in Schoolhouse-Redd Mechanical ($600 actual) Tower Anodes replacement by Jeremy Redshaw/timing (parts $2,500 + labor $7,500 =$10k) Meter/Vault Replacement by Crowley Construction ($70k grant + $17?k ESSD funds) 12-Vote: Designation of next meeting-December 10, 2023--all 13-Vote: Adjournment-all
