2023 Notice of Municipal Primary Election - September 5, 2023 Notice is hereby given to all registered voters residing in the City of American Fork that the Municipal Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The 2023 Municipal Election is being conducted by mail, meaning all registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail. If you have questions about your ballot, lost or never received your ballot, or made a mistake and need a new ballot prior to Election Day, please call the County Elections Office at 801-851-8128. Election Day Vote Centers There will be a Vote Center at the American Fork Library (64 South 100 East) on Election Day September 5, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. where voters can drop off their ballots, receive help with voting issues, vote provisionally, or utilize the ADA amenities of an electronic voting machine. You will need to show proper identification at the Vote Center if you need a replacement ballot or to vote provisionally. Locations for Election Day Vote Centers can be obtained by calling 801-851-8128 or by visiting the website: https://www.utahcounty.gov/Dept/clerk/elections/index.html. Any changes to the polling location will be posted on the website. Ballots Ballots can be returned by mailing them in (must be postmarked by September 5, 2023), dropping ballot off at the Utah County Elections office, dropping off at the Ballot Box located at the American Fork Library, or dropped off on election day at the Vote Center (Library) until 8 p.m. on September 5, 2023. Additional locations for Ballot Drop Boxes can be found on the Utah County Elections website at https://www.utahcounty.gov/Dept/clerk/elections/index.html Voter Qualifications: The qualifications for a person to vote in the election are: (1) be a citizen of the United States, (2) a resident of Utah at least 30 days immediately preceding the election, (3) at least 18 years old on the day of election or if 17 years of age on or before the day of the regular primary election and 18 years of age on or before the date of the general election that immediately follows the regular primary election, and (4) reside at the address where you are registering.
