PUBLIC NOTICE 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Layton City and Davis County Equipment (Certified Disparate Jurisdiction) Joint Application O-BJA-2023-171790 Applicant Name - Layton City Police Applicant Case ID - A-479737 Amount $21,844.00 Grant Period: Oct 1, 2022 thru Sept 30, 2024 The amount of total grant funding is based on a formula developed by the Department of Justice. The funds will be distributed as follows: LAYTON CITY (Municipal) - $18,844.00 DAVIS COUNTY (County) - $3,000.00 Layton City has administered several joint application grants for the Davis County area and is familiar with the accounting procedures required by the Department of Justice. Program/Project # 1: Layton City $18,844.00 If funding is awarded, this department would use the grant funds to purchase equipment to enhance police operations and prosecution. Total E-Bikes for police patrol use $18,844.00 Administration Fee N/A Layton City Grant Total $18,844.00 Program/Project # 2: Davis County $3,000.00 Grant funds will be used to purchase multimedia trial presentation hardware to electronically organize and present evidence during hearings and trials. Misc, computer and television hardware (laptops or tablets, drives, cables, and monitors) $3,000.00 Davis County Grant Total $3,000.00
