Date of Meeting: Tuesday 8-8-23 Venue: OSTA - Admin Office Time: 5:30pm to 6:30pm Call to Order/Open Meeting: Approval of minutes: June 13, 2023 Citizens to be heard: OSTA Assistant Director Report (Greg): Summer fertilizer program has been applied Lot's of clogged sprinklers & repairs on sprinklers Broken water line on the soccer field in the ring main Running cables in main arena for wireless boosters Working on some projects and getting ready to start some bigger projects that need to get done. OSTA Director Report (Angie): New Tractor has arrived! Report on the Grand County Fair Update on OSTA Roof - Project is complete and has been closed Archery Range update Possible MOU (Memorandum of Understanding with the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) It's budget season - working on next year's budget Events: for the Next month July - Grand County Fair Drill Team, D's Adventures, 4-H Horse-less Club, Softball Practice (Wednesday), Skate Moab, Grand County Fair, Bald Mesa Telecommunication User Association Meeting (Conf. room only), Local open riding. August - Local open ride, Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo meeting, Softball Practice (Wednesday Only), D's Adventures (every Friday), Skate Moab (Fridays & Wednesday). Not to be forgotten, will discuss when updates are available: Portable bleachers to arena or extension? -2023 project ($43K- 250+ seats) World Trail (need design+ sponsors / donation) Trail to be formalized by arena staff by adding reject gravel +Horse Obstacle Course Outdoor Arena - Maintenance and construction upgrade stage 1 of 3 (1 arena, 2 roping chutes & steer run, 3 Cover over arena, lights, bleachers, announcer's booth, wind breaks, and bucking chutes) Implement Shed Pickle Ball Courts & Playground - Grant has been accepted through the first phase of the grant. Waiting on instruction for the second phase. Committee Member Reports: Kathy- Rex- Patrick- Bob- Krista- Mike- Open Seat- New Business: One open seat on OSTA Advisory Board Future Agenda items: Review updates to By-Laws (Angie still working on) Adjournment: Next meeting: Tuesday 9/12/23 Venue: OSTA office Time: 5:30pm
