SYRACUSE CITY Syracuse City Disaster Preparedness Committee July 27, 2023 - 7:00 p.m. Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S. Notice is hereby given that the Syracuse City Disaster Preparedness Committee will participate in a meeting on Thursday July 27, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the large conference room of the Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S., Syracuse City, Davis County, Utah. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss/review the following items: Welcome: Patrick Carroll Call to Order: Patrick Carroll Prayer: TBA Pledge of Allegiance Review Meeting Minutes: Dennis Opp Welcome Guests/Visitors: Syracuse Connection Magazine articles: 1. Article for September issue written by Mr. Duane Cheney to be reviewed in June Meeting - Topic: Canned Goods Expiration 2. Article for October written by Brigham Young to be reviewed in July Meeting - Topic: Fire Prevention 3. Article for November issue TBA Committee Business: 1. Legacy District replacement approval - Mr. Scott Bohn 2. New rep for Fremont District? Action Item Update: 1. Emergency Preparedness Fair on 'odd' years - planning for September 2025. More hands on fair. 2. Mr. Merkling proposed that for the 2024 Emergency Preparedness exercise that we pattern off of the Buffalo Ridge RDAP exercise. Steven LaForte, from Buffalo Ridge will write up the exercise and Mr. Merkling will get a copy for us to review in the next DPC meeting. 3. Mrs. Behm report on flier. She will contact Lisa Schwartz. 4. Frequency Plan update: Mr. Redmond needs to have the District and Area communication specialists throughout the city. 5. Mrs. Behm (in next month's meeting) will talk about NIMS Course 100 and 700 6.
