- PARAGONAH TOWN PUBLIC NOTICE WATER RATE INCREASE (See attached Resolution 23-10) Starting August 1st, 2023, the base rate for culinary water will increase from $40 for the first 6000 gallons to $50 for the first 6000 gallons. This increase is necessary for the Town to be able to pay back the $5.1 million 0% interest, 40-year loan that will be used for water system improvements. These improvements will include installation of 10' and 8' culinary water piping throughout town along with fire hydrants and electronic metering; drilling and equipping a new culinary water well to provide a second source of water; and constructing a new 250000-gallon culinary water storage tank to provide better water pressure. These improvements are vital in helping to continue to provide safe and reliable water to our community. As of August 1, 2023, monthly water rates will be as follows: (Will be reflected on your September 2023 utility bill). ALL USERS: Monthly Base Rate: $50.00 for 0 - 6,000 gallons per month Overage Rates: $2.50 per 1000 gallons for 6,001 - 20,000 gallons $2.75 per 1000 gallons for 20,001 - 40,000 gallons $3.00 per 1000 gallons for 40,001 - 75,000 gallons $3.25 per 1000 gallons for 75,001 gallons higher Posted this 19th day of July 2023 at the Paragonah Post Office, Paragonah Town Hall, Paragonah Info Page (Facebook) and the Utah Public Notice Website. ____________________________________ Jayne A.
