I reported that I attended the general session that was geared more to mayors and city/town council members. I also attended the SB 174 that we will all be working on and there are a lot of changes coming. The second general session was again mainly directed towards mayors and city/town councils. 4. Subdivision Update Project (new) Susan asked members to open our books to the subdivision ordinance section for review. She asked me to explain the hand out that I had prepared. I said that I started writing up what is in SB 174 for comparison to our ordinance. Susan told the members that we will have to marry into our ordinance the things that are in SB 174. Turning to #4 Restrictive Covenants (a) on plat maps as a requirement we have to have a legal description of roads that are then dedicating this road to the town. Moving on Brandon explained a single lot split as a person buying a 1/2 to 1 acre lot, building a house on it. Then doing a single lot split to sell that portion. The commission was referred to section 2. Definitions, page 5. Major verses Minor. Having discussed the differences and reviewing, Single Lot Split it was the consensus of members that single lot split should be removed from the subdivision ordinance. Flag lots were also discussed, found in Section 8. Land Use, revised in 2018. Susan referred the members to Section 8. Preliminary Plat. She explained that dedication of roads needs to be in the preliminary plat checklist. Cassie stated that it is already written in and that we had discussed this in the past. Members reviewed the preliminary and final plat checklists to reorganize and make going through said checklists with the public in a smoother process. Karen will type up new checklists for review at our July meeting. 5. Other Business: None Next meeting will be: July 12, 2023. ADJOURNMENT 1.
