Elwood Town Council Meeting June 20, 2023 The Elwood Town Council met at the Elwood Town Hall, 5235 West 8800 North, Elwood, Utah, at 6:00, June 20, 2023. The following members were present consisting of a quorum. Keenan Nelson Mayor Scott Goodliffe Councilmember Mark Lay Councilmember Mike Pace Councilmember Lynn Hardy Councilmember Staff present at this meeting Gina Marble Town Clerk Steve Woerner Public Works Others present at this meeting WELCOME ADMINISTRATION Councilmember Lay gave the prayer Pledge of allegiances Councilmember Pace via Phone Councilmember Lay made a motion to close the town council meeting and move into the executive session. Councilmember Hardy seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion. Councilmember Lay made a motion to close the executive session and move into the town council meeting. Councilmember Goodliffe seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion. Item#1 Discussion-Secondary water system- Steve Woerner reported that he has been working with Shane Taggart and Robert Shaw regarding the property for the secondary water system. Robert stated he is asking $150,000. Steve reported that the subdivision is for 4 lots we will have one of the lots that will give him 3 buildable lots that will also include water taps for each lot. The Council would like to do a counter offer of $120,000 with the 3 water taps. Councilmember Hardy made a motion for Steve to make an offer of $120,000 and could go up to $15,000 more for the total of $135,000 if necessary and include 3 water taps for the 3 lots. Councilmember Lay seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion. Councilmember Lay made a motion to adjourn, Councilmember Hardy seconded the motion and the remaining council agreed.
