- NOTICE OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Work Session at approximately 4:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Work Room located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The public may remotely hear the open portions of the meeting through live broadcast by connecting to http://mixlr.com/chmeetings. ADJOURN CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOTICE OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Business Meeting beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Chambers located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. (Cottonwood Heights Code of Ordinances 2.30.160 (B)) City Manager Tim Tingey will admit into the record written public comments submitted to the City Recorder prior to 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date. 5.0 PUBLIC COMMENT 5.1 Zoning Text Amendment - Introduction by the Community and Economic Development Director Mike Johnson 6.0 ACTION ITEMS 6.1 Consideration of Ordinance 396 Adopting an Amended Budget for 1 July 2022 through 30 June 2023. (The Utah State Treasurer suggests that Utah cities amend their budgets at least quarterly to reflect any necessary changes since the budget was adopted. This ordinance will approve an amendment to the city's current [2022-2023] budget). 6.2 Consideration of Ordinance 397 Approving a Final Budget for 1 July 2023 through 30 June 2024. (This ordinance will adopt a final budget for the city's upcoming fiscal year, make related appropriations, determine the applicable tax rate, and levy such tax on all real and personal property in the city, subject to any subsequent amendment). 6.3 Consideration of Resolution 2023-33 Approving Development Exceptions for Realty at 3457 East Magic View Drive. (This resolution will approve exceptions under Section 14.12.150 [Exceptions], Cottonwood Heights Code, to reduce [a] the size of a proposed building lot from one-half acre to no less than 8,000 square feet, and [b] the front building line setbacks from the centerline of a private street--for two adjoining lots-from 50 feet to no less than 25 feet, as recommended by the planning commission). 6.4 Consideration of Resolution 2023-34 Approving Entry into an Interlocal Agreement with Various Jurisdictions For Grants Under HUD Programs. (By this resolution, the council will approve the city's entry into an interlocal agreement with Salt Lake County and 14 other local jurisdictions within Salt Lake County whereunder federal funds will be received and administered by Salt Lake County on an 'urban county' basis under applicable HUD regulations). 6.5 Consideration of Resolution 2023-35 Approving Reappointments to the Planning Commission. (By this resolution, the council will approve the manager's reappointment of Dan Mills and Lucy Anderson to the city's planning commission for additional three-year terms). 6.6 Consideration of Resolution 2023-36 Approving Reappointments to the Parks, Trails and Open Space Advisory Committee. (By this resolution, the council will approve the manager's reappointment of Jennifer Cottam, Bruce Jorgensen, Paula McFarland, Michael Menssen and Chris Owens to the city's parks, trails and open space advisory committee for additional three-year terms). 6.7 Consideration of Resolution 2023-37 Approving Entry into an Agreement for Building Services with Sunrise Engineering, Inc. (By this resolution, the council will approve the city's entry into an agreement whereunder Sunrise Building Services, Inc. will provide plan review and building inspection services to the city as specified in the agreement through 30 June 2026. 7.0 CONSENT CALENDAR Approval of the City Council Work Session, CDRA Business Meeting, and City Council Business Meeting Minutes for June 6th, 2023. 8.0 ADJOURN CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING On Friday, June 16, 2022, a copy of the foregoing notices was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A copy of this notice was faxed to the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News, newspapers of general circulation in the City, by the Office of the City Recorder. The Agendas were also posted on the City's website at www.ch.utah.gov and the Utah Public Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov DATED THIS 16th day of June 2023 Paula Melgar, City Recorder Council Members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication.
