Description/Agenda

The North Logan City Planning Commission hereby announces a public hearing to be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the Meeting Room at the North Logan City Library at 475 East 2500 North, North Logan, UT. A public hearing will be held for the following agenda items: 1. 6:35 PM Public hearing and potential recommendation regarding a city-initiated zoning text amendment to the North Logan Municipal Code (NLMC). The proposed amendments adjust permissibility and standards associated with Accessory Dwelling Units (both internal and detached) and short-term rentals. The amendments also make adjustments to the Conditional Uses and Home-Based Businesses sections of the NLMC for consistency with the associated adjustments to accessory dwelling units and short-term rentals. Lastly, the amendments adjust multiple sections of the NLMC regarding public noticing requirements needed in order to conform with the recent state-wide requirements of SB43. 2. 6:45 PM Public hearing and potential recommendation regarding a city-initiated General Plan amendment intended to adjust the North Logan City Roads/Transportation Master Plan which is an element of the City's 2013 General Plan. The proposal updates the Roads/Transportation master plan map exhibit to depict the following: Updated current conditions; Depiction of known intersections that will become roundabouts when demand warrants intersection improvements; Extends 2600 North west from Main Street to connect with 200 West; Extends 1400 East between 2300 North and the future 2500 North alignment; Depicts existing sections of roadway that meet the city's Rural Road standard; Removes roadways that are no longer within North Logan City's municipal boundaries (sections of 200 West and 1800 North that are south and west of the city's current municipal boundaries).
